TRAVEL TIPS to visit Bonito - Eco tourism in Mato Grosso (Brazil)

April 15, 2009 by: Marcio

A question that most tourists are planning to visit as an ecotourism destination Bonito is in season that is more appropriate. The weather may intervene against the trips, since the contact with nature is direct and rain and cold can interfere in an adventure, be it track, rappelling, or ride a horse float.

At any time of year you can visit Nice, but the ideal is between the months of December and March, during the rainy season when the vegetation is green, the animals appear as they have food to spare, the level of the rivers is high and waterfalls are the flow. Between May and August, the fields are dry, the fires are contained and frighten wildlife away for better pastures.

Another significant factor is price. It set the dates of high and low season, with periods of high season holidays and vacations and Low Season all other dates. The hotels and inns as well as the agencies charge different prices for the season, so if you can avoid the holidays, now you can save a little.

Many of the trips have limits of daily visits and group and the hotels and inns in the High Season periods are always crowded. Make reservations before leaving home is fundamental to everything that comes out as planned.

Residence

The ideal minimum stay is four days, so you can be a walk of each type. In low season there is no need to schedule the trips far in advance and can be scheduled upon your arrival. But in high season (national holidays, vacation - from December 15 to 28 February to July) is necessary to book the tours with some advance to avoid the risk of being without one.

Rides

Some important considerations:

* Because every ride has a maximum number of visitors per day, the ideal is to make reservations in advance.
* All trips are paid. These values range from $ 5.00 to R $ 35.00. For the practice of autonomous diving and rappelling, prices are higher. These figures do not include the transportation to the tour.
* Any reservation for the tours should be made an agency for local tourism. The agency is responsible for reservations, hiring the tour guide will acompalhá it and issue a permit to perform the walk.
* As municipal law, to visit the tourist attractions of Nice is mandatory to monitor the Guide to local tourism accredited by EMBRATUR and registered in the prefecture.
* The ideal shoe for the performance of most tours is the tennis.
* To achieve the autonomous diving is to take a diving course.
* The repellent and sunscreen may not be used in some attractions for the conservation of water and fish.
* All roads giving access to walks are of land.
* The agencies of the city’s tourism service offers rental of cars and vans.
* The weather may prevent or hinder the achievement of some walks.

What to bring

In addition to many available, are essential swimwear, hat or straw hat, bag, shoes, shirts, shorts, sweatshirt, raincoat, sunscreen, repellent, camera, camcorder and camera sweater in winter.

Getting there

For those who arrive by plane in Campo Grande, it has hired the best way, or have rental car reservation. The airport of Campo Grande is rental.

By car, access to those who come from Campo Grande, capital of the state, until Bonito are 330 km, followed by the BR 262 to Anastácio, from there, the idea is to take the BR 419 Guia Lopes da Laguna before and after a road of 56 km to Nice. Another access even for those who come to Campo Grande, can be a route of 270 km, is the BR 060 passing Sidrolândia, Nioaque, Guia Lopes da Laguna and Bonito. Coming from President Prudente Sao Paulo route, entering the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, the first city in the state is Bataguassu, followed by the clover in New Dawn, toward Rio Brilhante, Maracajú, Guia Lopes da Laguna and Bonito.

The only bus route out of Campo Grande is the Traffic Cruzeiro do Sul, with the daily schedules at 06:00 pm arriving in Nice at 11:00 pm and 15:00 pm to 20:00 arriving in Nice. The ticket price U.S. $ 25.00.

There is also a direct line from Sao Paulo to the Garden Tuesday and Friday and on Sundays at 19:00 with a duration of 15 hours of travel. Arriving in the Garden has buses from South Traffic Cruise Bonito until 10:30 pm, 11:00 pm, 15:30 pm and 19:00 pm.

You can also arrive by small plane to Nice. In this case air taxi hire.

Reservations stay

If you want to go in times of high season - especially summer holidays and long - it is necessary to reserve early. Although there are many inns and hotels, the odds of you running out of place is not small. Even if you want to go out of season, it is good call for availability of places, because suddenly the place you want to stay will be booked for any reforms or excursion, you dance.

Reservations for tours

Worth the same thing about the stay. The number of people per trip per day is limited - all in the name of preserving the site - and no guide and no agency of tourism, you can not go for walks. It prohibited the entry of persons without the guides of the agencies in almost all trips, except the spa town and the island’s priest. Most attractions are in private property so make your reservations with your agency there in Bonito, or before you go there, you do not lose travel.

Time for sightseeing

If you like to plan ahead, you can reserve for all trips, except those referred to all day, a period: either all morning or all afternoon. Hardly you will get more of a walk by period, mainly because the distances are not close and you end up getting more than described, especially out of season.

Camps

There are two areas of camp: The Spa City and Padre Island. The areas of camp are like all other campsites, have the same structure and are open 24 hours a day. The areas of walking, for example, attached to the spa, are only allowed to access the usual hours of operation. The rest is equal.
Best time to go to Nice

Especially in February, March and April, we have the season of rains. This may hinder some walks and some other impossible. This time without considering the influence of El Nino and some of their “family.” Winter (July) usually does not rain and water levels are good especially [ra do diving. At the end of the year, usually the water level is too low and that makes some interesting walks less than they really are.

Dive: What to bring

Take what you usually leads to other dives. The tourist agencies provide clothing, fins, mask and to snork surface dives and also hire independent bottles for divers. It’s like you were diving anywhere else in Brazil which has facilities for diving.

Types of diving

For those who really understand the issue - which still is not my case - says are snorkering, free and independent and can be done in rivers (even in current - r. r. anaconda and the silver). lakes and caves. For the caves need special authorization.

Bike

If you like mountain biking or other kind of walks with bicycles, you will find several opportunities throughout the region. For tours, specifically, I think means unlikely that some guide please go back and ride a bike of any, but I think if more people, with someone going from car in front and taking them up there, you can go back and wounds and then enjoy the place.

Walks without guide

As has been said above, most of the tours on private property is preserved and therefore can only be accessed with “ticket” and a guide for any agency of tourism from there to Nice.

Go without walks

Upon arriving in Nice, you tend to get disappointed and scared half to what you see. It seems one of those towns in the interior of the country that has nothing. One central main street, dusty and full of little shops and inns and picturesque. If you want to go to Nice just to know the city, this is what you see. Very close to the city is the spa town, the other walks are out.

Clothes

If you go in summer, the weather in Nice is the same for almost all central-western Brazil: very strong. Included is worth taking a repellent topic. If you bring sunscreen, a light that does not release the water, because its use is prohibited. In winter, you can get some cold night. In winter, while you sun, the temperature is high. When the night, can make a cold. Obviously the same temperature for the Northeast who come is a little different from those coming from the south.

Children

The walks are mostly safe even for children, less for children lap. You have the tours rather limited in this case and will have to take the city as in item 11.

Health Services

There are two hospitals in Nice to meet any emergency 24 hours a day with good working condition. The addresses are in the section of services.

Transportation

In Nice, you need to move to the footpath when a car, does not even walk. So, who does not go by car can use the taxi from there. Some tourism companies are building services with vans, but not all. The ideal is to go by car. You can go to everywhere without hassle. Valley the penalty to close a large group and rent one, before going to Nice. Prices generally in Bonito, if we compare the structure and pricing of tourism in the rest of Brazil are, in my opinion, expensive. But if you do not ta very concerned about it, the trip really is unforgettable. And paid off most of the others.
